PEAKWORK ?
Peakwork represents a small group of creatives frustrated and disillusioned with the fashion and streetwear industry after years of servitude. Exhausted by excessive hype and over-marketing that dominates popular culture , we've created a space that embodies our own vision and values. The Peak Workshop fosters idea generation and creativity with shapes, colours and textures, free from the constraints of seasonal and fast fashion. Guided by our founder, Morgan Schoermer, who handcrafts the majority of our products, we prioritise quality and originality. All items are made and shipped in-house, rejecting offshore production, allowing us to focus on what truly matters: the product itself. We specialise in functional, athletic-inspired apparel and accessories, particularly headwear, using exceptional fabrics, intricate details, and limited quantities. We value collaboration with like-minded brands and artists, believing these partnerships enhance creativity and innovation. This approach ensures that Peakwork products are truly genuinely and unique rather than a fiction of manufactured scarcity .
INSPIRATION & DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
At our core lies a profound dedication to design and crafting high-quality products. Our upbringing in the mid-90s exposed us to a vibrant explosion of creativity, do-it-yourself enterprises, and diverse subcultures that emerged during that era. These experiences have greatly influenced our aesthetic and the very essence of our garments, drawing inspiration from vintage sportswear, streetwear, and outdoor gear from what we consider the glorious "golden era," spanning the early 1970s to the mid-1990s.
We devote special attention to crafting patterns that embrace the body's form and harmonize beautifully with the chosen fabric. Throughout the entire process, from initial sampling to the final product, we make everything in-house, ensuring ultimate satisfaction for our valued customers.
Our mission is to create original, high-quality products ethically, in limited numbers at an accessible price point. Focused on the importance of fit, form, function, and the quality of fabrics, we draw inspiration from mutual interests in travel, nature, sports, art, music, skateboarding, and photography.
We aim to create products that resonate with our customers, reflecting their unique personalities and lifestyles while leaving a positive impact on the world.
SUSTAINABLITY
Amidst the relentless tide of fast fashion and fleeting trends, we remain steadfast in our passion for creating enduring, thoughtfully crafted products that withstand the test of time. Products that will become the next generation's "hand-me-downs," not landfill. We believe that making products that last is the best way we can minimize our impact on the environment. A number of our products utilize recycled fabrics, and we aim to use remnant fabrics wherever possible.
We prioritize ethical labor practices, ensuring that workers receive fair wages and safe working conditions. We have close relationships with all our suppliers from working with them over the past 10 years, making frequent visits to ensure transparency in working conditions.
Our swing tags and garment bags are home compostable, as well as our mailbags. We ship exclusively with carbon-neutral couriers.
We are not a truly sustainable company; no clothing company is. The process of making things has an environmental footprint, and we aim to reduce ours wherever and whenever possible.
